Revising with fingers crossed!

A publisher is willing to consider my book further if I make some changes. The changes requested are quite logical and reasonable for the characters' behavior. So hopefully I can do this successfully!

Taking the Plunge

Well I wrote the third book and have submitted it to a different publisher.
I am not sure whether submitting different books to different publishers is a good idea or not, but felt it would not be wise to submit yet a third book to the first company, so this seemed a better option.
So once again I must sit and wait.
I am not good at that, but I will try.

Pressure to write a third book

I am still waiting to hear back about the first two books but the characters for a third book are running around in my head wanting to tell me their story. So far I have managed to resist them. I really want the feedback on the other books so that the next book is a better written story, more appropriate for my audience and more saleable. But it is very hard not to set fingers to keyboard again.

The second book has jumped its first hurdle!

I heard book today that my second book has made it past the initial reviewer and is waiting to be seen by an acquiring editor. I am very excited that this book has made it so far. This one is quite different from the first one. Of course I would really like the company to love both books!

Well I did it

I wrote a second book and sent it off to a publisher despite knowing it may be another five months before I hear back about the first book.
It was a difficult decision. Feedback on the first book would help me avoid making the same mistakes in the second. But just waiting around was making me nervous. And the heroine kept asking me when I was going to tell her story.
So it is done. And now it is back to biting my nails and waiting.

Book 2 is started

I have started writing another book.
It seems a bit strange when I don't know if the first one is any good or not but the characters are in my head so I decided to let them out to play on the pages instead.
I am looking forward to finding out where they take me.

My book has passed its first test and progressed into the queue for an aquiring editor.
I should hear back in six months!
